Wildcrafting Workshops
Our Wildcrafting Workshops occur every Saturday in November. They’re a wonderful way to spend a few hours, getting creative with foraged and repurposed items that you can keep or gift. We provide everything – tools, supplies, and even lunch for the longer workshops. Register early – space is very limited for each class!

Fall 2025 Wildcrafting Workshop schedule
Nov. 1: Seed Saving
Where: ASD Greenhouse, 17444 Singingwood Lane, Bristol, VA
Time: 10 am – 4 pm (stop by any time during these hours)
Cost: Suggested $5 donation
Registration: Not required, just show up!
Details: We have so many seeds! Marigolds, sunflowers, pole beans, Cosmo, zinnia, dahlia, tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, and so much more. We’ll have stations set up to show you how to process seeds from the flower, and stations set up so you can package and label seeds to take home for next year. Have seeds you want to swap? Bring them!
Coffee, tea, and water will be available. All attendees – feel free to bring your lunch!
Nov. 8: Pressed Flower Art
Where: ASD Greenhouse, 17444 Singingwood Lane, Bristol, VA
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Cost: $25 per person
Max class size: 12 participants (so register early!)

Details: We’ve pressed flowers from our Late Bloomers garden, plus pressed other foraged greenery from various locations. Come join us for a few hours, learning how to turn these beautiful and natural elements into framed art. We’ll supply all the tools, like glue, picture frames, paint, and more – but you are welcome to bring any special items from your own home.
Coffee, tea, and water will be available – feel free to bring your own lunch!
Nov. 15: Kudzu Basket Weaving
Where: ASD Greenhouse, 17444 Singingwood Lane, Bristol, VA
Details: We’ll be weaving two different sized baskets during this workshop. You’ll need to select which basket you want to do when you register. Please note that there are different start times and costs, listed below, for each sized basket!
Lunch, water, coffee, and tea are provided with both classes!
Option 1: Large Basket (10″ or more)

Nov. 22: Willow Pea Trellis
Where: ASD Greenhouse, 17444 Singingwood Lane, Bristol, VA
Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $150 per person

Details: If you’ve seen the crafty trends using willow rods, then you know this class is going to be amazing! Using white willow and bush honeysuckle rods, you’ll work to create a collapsible, 6′ trellis that can be re-used every year. It’s a wonderful, sustainable garden accessory to support your climbers – honeysuckle, morning glories, beans, peas, and more.
Lunch, coffee, tea, and water will be provided!
Nov. 29: Foraged Holiday Wreath
Where: ASD Greenhouse, 17444 Singingwood Lane, Bristol, VA
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Cost: $30 per person
Max class size: 15 people (so register early!)

Details: Just in time for the holidays, this wreath class will feature a variety of foraged materials to use as your base. Then, you can add details like pine cones, ribbon, ornaments, and more. We’ll provide an assortment of decorative items, but please bring items from home if you want.
