Ziegenwald Dairy LLC is owned and operated by John and Andrea Woodworth. We have been a Grade A goat dairy since 2008,and have raised Registered Alpine goats since 1994. We make a variety of soft goat milk cheeses, as well as Mozzarella, Feta, and a Colby-style from pasteurized milk from our own animals. We have Camembert and a Swiss-type we call Appalachian Lace. Our cheese is sold at Blue Hills Market in Abingdon, Boone Street Market in Jonesborough, and Jonesborough, Bristol, and Norton farmer's markets.
Our farm is located in the Yuma section of Scott County, Va. Possum Creek runs through our bottom land. We raise a variety of livestock, including: Alpine dairy goats, Jacob sheep, hogs, chickens, and rabbits. We also own/operate Ziegenwald Dairy where we milk our goats and make a variety of goat milk cheeses in our Grade A dairy.
