A Guide to Local Foods
Are you looking for a local farmers market? Are you interested in advertising your local business?
If so, we have you covered! Appalachian Sustainable Development has been designing, producing, and distributing the “Local Food Guide” for many years. The guide is an annual publication that is typically printed in late February or early March of each year. We print 15,000 copies annually and distribute across Northeast TN and Southwest VA. Print listings in the guide are free and paid advertising is available. Profits from paid advertising are used to help ASD be able to design, print, and distribute the guides. The guides are free to the public and can be found at many businesses, tourism centers, restaurants, farmers markets, and more across Northeast TN and Southwest VA.
As part of ASD’s website (www.asdevelop.org) the current print version of the “local food guide” can be found in pdf format and can be downloaded and printed from the website. There is also an interactive online food guide on the website. The interactive online food guide is updated throughout the year and allows searches by city, zip code, and/or by type of business.
