Families-Family Farms (HFFF) has
been feeding the hungry and
supporting local farmers since
2004. Donations to this unique
program enable HFFF:

to purchase
good quality “seconds” at a
discounted price from ASD’s
Appalachian Harvest network of
farmers, helping the growers not to
take a loss on their crops
n
to give this
fresh, nutritious food at no cost to
the Southwest Virginia Second
Harvest Food Bank which in turn

Families-Family Farms partners:

community and civic groups,
individuals, and businesses to
raise money to support the program

with other local
groups and agencies to promote the
health benefits of a diet rich in
vegetables and fruits. Cooking
demonstrations and food tastings are
held at food pantries to encourage
families to eat well and enjoy fresh
produce

100% of all contributions is
used to purchase food from local
farmers. Every dollar raised
triples its value- $50 buys 150
pounds of food! $100 buys 300
