Appalachian Harvest launched its own line of Fruit Butters and Canned Vegetables to help support Appalachian Harvest’s commitment to keeping family farmers on their land. We are also committed to Living Better. Locally. We want to first encourage you to visit these local businesses to purchase these products. Black Sheep Market in Grey, Cranberry Lane in Bristol, Heartwood and the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Harvest Table in Meadowview, Blue Hills Market in both Abingdon and Glade Spring. The Kickles were sure stimulating to the palette – and the pumpkin butter was delicious!Ron and Joan
Mommy, can I have another piece of toast with apple butter? I didn’t think I’d like the no sugar added apple butter but it’s really good! Apples are sweet anyway!Aidan Patrick
I purchased some of ASD’s preserves for family and friends this past holiday season. I delivered the last set to my mother, which was a true vote of confidence since she’s been a canning master for many years. I had some added reluctance, as I no longer had any for myself. Mom loved them and told me they will be on her Christmas wish list for next year. And, guess what showed up in my own mail a few days later? My own set to share with husband and kids. Thanks, ASD. You made a lot of people (and palates) happy.Catherine Van Noy
The ‘veggie’ butters are amazing! Pumpkin and butternut squash are so different from typical fruit based ones. We opened the small jar of blackberry butter Christmas Eve morning and pretty much demolished it over the next three days.Diane Lee
